donia // Creator

Donia is a visual artist whose work utilizes vivid colors and dreamy, ethereal imagery to create surreal realms that explore the human condition, futurist ideas, and one's connection to the universe. Through her artwork, she questions concepts of love, time, and existence through a character-driven approach. Her visuals often depict mystical feminine forms that float among celestial bodies or traverse moody alien landscapes, accented by shōjo motifs.
Donia's graphic drawing style stems from a lifelong fascination with animation and sequential art. She draws inspiration from the striking line work and visual storytelling of Art Nouveau posters, Japanese Ukiyo-e pieces, and the elegant forms of Mannerism and Rococo. These influences collide with magical girl tropes to create ethereal figures with a bold presence, resulting in a unique illustrative approach to Contemporary Surrealism movements.
